Russia has lifted coronavirus restrictions on crossing the border

According to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1267 of July 14, 2022, COVID-19 related restrictions on entry of foreign citizens and stateless persons into the Russian Federation by air, sea and land checkpoints across the state border are canceled starting from July 15, 2022.

Since July 15, 2022 Russia has lifted restrictions on crossing the land border, introduced in March 2020.

BUT PLEASE NOTE, foreign citizens and stateless persons travelling to Russia, including transit passengers, are still required to provide a negative PCR test for COVID-19 passed not earlier than 48 hours before arrival to Russia in order to check in and board the flight.

A printed medical document is required to be in English or Russian.

Please note that airlines only accept results from PCR-method COVID-19 tests. No other test results, including antibody tests, will be accepted.

Foreign citizens are also required to complete a special arrival form during the flight (see the form here)*.
