Requirement to present a negative PCR test result for arriving persons to the Russian Federation has been cancelled.

All persons arriving to the Russian Federation from October 21, 2022, regardless of the mode of transport, are exempted from the obligation to undergo a laboratory test for COVID-19.

Decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation dated October 17, 2022 No. 22 “On Amendments to the Resolution of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation dated March 18, 2020 No. 7 “On Ensuring Isolation to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19” came into force ".

According to the decree, the requirement for foreign nationals traveling to the Russian Federation to present a negative PCR test result when boarding an aircraft and when crossing the state border has been cancelled.

For Russian citizens returning to the country the requirement to undergo PCR testing within three calendar days upon arrival and to observe isolation until the results are received, has been canceled.

Please note at the same time all persons arriving to Russia still need to fill out a questionnaire from Rospotrebnadzor.
